Up For Your Consideration is This Stunning Vintage Cigarette Box With Matching Ashtrays.
This set has a lovely design featuring raised creamy white areas that have latticework highlighted by handpainted gold and puntuated by floral cutwork. The cream areas are surrounded by black which also has hand painted leaves and flowers in each corner. The black and white design is very retro and really sets the design off beautifully! There are some flea bites around the edges of the ashtrays and 2 shallow chips on the undersides. The Cigarette Box is in good condition with no chips or cracks. There is a little wear on some of the gold where they have been handled over the years.
The box measures 5" X 3 1/2" across the top. The ashtrays measure about 4 5/8" across. The bottoms are signed 'E & R 7817 Italy Hand Painted'. This elegant set is really a show-stopper and would make an excellent addition to any tobacciana collection!
