VINTAGE STERLING SILVER & FLORAL BONBON CRYSTAL DISH
Up for your consideration is this lovely Vintage KIG bon bon dish. The top portion of this piece is comprised of a glass plate which is smooth on the top, yet has a pressed design on the bottom. The design is beautifully done with small raised dots, tiny flowers and leaves punctuated by fleur-de-lis. Usually associated with the French monarchy, fleur de lis means "flower of lily" and is a stylized lily flower used frequently in decorative design.
The plate sits on top of a shiny silver plated pedestal base. I think this would be an elegant piece for displaying small decorative cookies, chocolates (silver kisses would be great!), mints or go traditional with the bon bons! Or try other ideas such as using it in the bathroom with some decorative soaps for guests or on a desk to hold your business cards! The possibilities are endless with this stunning little dish!
This piece is in excellent condition. The only flaw I see is a bubble in the glass, which is hard to see because of the decorative design. It measures 4 1/2" wide and 2" high.
